Lesson notes

Tally is not finished just because he has a new idea. He needs a useful test. He can ask better questions, sketch before buying and decide what he wants to learn. Cash keeps the cost list, not only the exciting sales total.
For the final exercise, keep the same eight-item batch and €16 outlay. Six sell at €3: €18 comes back, €2 more than the cash paid, and two items remain. That is a cash surplus for this session. Keep remaining stock separate and explain what you would check next. A thoughtful next decision matters more than making the biggest pretend number.
What you will learn
Make a simple plan and apply the numbers to a new outcome.
Worked example
Final case: 6 × €3 = €18 received. €18 - €16 = €2 cash surplus. Two bookmarks remain.
Your paper activity
Complete a paper plan: who we help, our idea, listed costs, price, a quiet-day outcome, and one next test. Explain the final case to an adult or classmate.
For the grown-up
The simulation requires no real spending. For real trading, check local permissions and rules with an adult first.
Try it next: the Lemonade Stand game
When your plan is ready, try the Lemonade Stand game. It uses a different recipe, weather and cost model than our fixed bookmark batch, so compare the decisions, not the exact numbers.
You reached the end of the course. You can explain a customer need, count every cost, price with a plan, tell the till from the profit, read a quiet-sales day, and plan a smaller next test.
